No, no, no, I never said that. Yes, that's right, they can't be friends. Unless both of them are involved with other people, then they can. This is an amendment to the earlier rule. If the two people are in relationships, the pressure of possible involvement is lifted. That doesn't work either, because what happens then is, the person you're involved with can't understand why you need to be friends with the person you're just friends with. Like it means something is missing from the relationship and why do you have to go outside to get it. And when you say "No, no, no it's not true, nothing is missing from the relationship," the person you're involved with then accuses you of being secretly attracted to the person you're just friends with, which you probably are. I mean, come on, who the hell are we kidding, let's face it. Which brings us back to the earlier rule before the amendment, which is men and women can't be friends.

A friend is a friend. There is no distinguishing factor of male or female. They are people who you go for help in your bad times and with whom you share your good times.
Well, if you have that "someone special" in your life you. You would certainly share the most intimate idea, talks, dreams and more....something that is total BullShit to somethin that is very important with that one rather then your friend. He or She will be your friend, your heart, your dream, your sleep, your mind, your thoughts, your soul, your courage nonetheless your life.
I am not sure If I have seen the movie Harry met Sally but from the situation you have explained about the movie I can depict if person meets the other person of opposite sex often enough like going out for dinner or movies or could be anything where they both are only together then they would definitely get attracted to each other and also engage in sexual activity which some people even call it love. Just becoz people get attracted to each other doesn't mean they are in Love.
Yeah, In city like NewYork where people meet each other as friend but you hardly know about the kind of friendship one shares with another.
Here people would just go out on first date as friends but end up in bed with same person on that same nite!Trust me on this one!
I guess this was the concern Harry had about Sally, since he really cared for her. He didn't wanted to use any false mean to get her becoz He seemed to Love her!
In friendship you communicate rite?
And I believe Communication is major factor to any successful relationship. That relationship could be between a boyfriend and girlfriend or between a husband and wife or between a parent and the kid or between manager and his/her team.
I have a question ?
What if your husband/boyfriend goes out quiet often to dinner / club / movies with another girl who is also his friend in way.
Would you consider them Just friends ?
There is always a fine line between a friendship and relationship and Harry was thinking about that same line while talking to Sally :-)

Well...'Harry met Sally' 1 of the best romantic comedies i've seen...and i totally agree wen Billy Crystal says Men and Women cannot be friends except for this rule...
I think it's hard for an attractive single guy and gal to be 'just friends'.
